Our story

A Christmas tree farm, through and through.

Anne Ellen has been a Christmas tree farm for about 80 years. Long before it became what you see today, Christmas trees were being planted and grown on this property. And if you've ever wondered why some of our trees are so big… that's why.

Who we are

The Sangillo family.

Christmas trees take years and years to grow, and there are decades of them here. About 25 years ago, the tree farm was purchased by the Sangillo family, and it's been in our family ever since. Over the years, we've kept growing Christmas trees while slowly making Anne Ellen our own. What started as a traditional Christmas tree farm grew into the shops, experiences and traditions that thousands of families now come back for every Christmas season.

How The Village started

Then came 2021. At 21 years old, Jack Sangillo had an idea for a part of the farm that, at the time, wasn't exactly much to look at. It was basically a swamp. He walked out there with a paper plate, started mapping out an idea, and that was the very beginning of The Village at Anne Ellen.

What started with a paper plate in the middle of an unused part of the farm turned into a nighttime Christmas experience built completely from the ground up. Year after year, The Village has kept growing with new buildings, new scenes, new ideas and, usually, another project that somehow turns into something much bigger than originally planned. And that's pretty much how Anne Ellen has always grown.

We're still a family-owned and operated farm. We're still growing Christmas trees that won't be ready for years. We're still building, changing things, trying things, and coming up with ideas for what this place could be next. But Christmas trees are still at the center of it all. They were here first, and everything else grew around them.

Tradition

We want this to be the place where your family's Christmas tradition lives. The tree you cut, the donut on the way out, the photo by the truck. The same things, every year, on purpose.

Authenticity

We're a real working farm and a family-run business, and we don't pretend otherwise. You'll see the work, the mud, the ideas that didn't quite come off. We aren't polished people, and the farm isn't supposed to be either.

Something new, every year

Tradition doesn't mean standing still. Every season we add something (a house in the Village, a ride, a maze), so there's always a reason to come back without losing what made the place special in the first place.

The Village lit up at night

The newest chapter

By day, come without a reservation: find your tree, shop, eat and explore. At night the property changes, and The Village becomes the main experience, with tickets bought ahead online. You can absolutely do both in the same day. That's really what makes Anne Ellen different.
