Accessibility

We want everybody to be able to use this website and to visit the farm. Here's what we've built in, what we've actually checked, and what to do if something doesn't work for you.

What we've built in

Every page starts with a skip link straight to the content. Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can move around them. Every photograph has a text description, or is marked as decoration where it carries no information. Every link and button has a name you can hear. The page language is set. Keyboard focus is always visible.

Color and text

Body text is checked against the background it sits on and meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, on both the light and the dark sections of the site. Text sizes are set in relative units, so your own browser text-size setting works.

Movement

Some sections fade or drift in as you scroll, and the string lights animate. If your device is set to reduce motion, all of it is switched off automatically.

What we have not done

We have not had an independent accessibility audit, so we don't claim formal WCAG conformance. The checks above are our own, done on the built site. If you find something that fails for you, we'd genuinely like to know.

Visiting the farm

The Village is an outdoor walk-through on rough, sometimes wet or muddy woodland trails, and getting there means a hayride. It can be difficult with a stroller or a wheelchair. If you'd like to talk through what a visit would involve before you book, please call us — we'd rather have that conversation than have you arrive to a surprise.

Telling us about a problem

Email info@anneellenfarms.com or call 732-786-9277. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll fix what we can and tell you honestly where we can't.
